Job Description: Video Assist Operator

Never Enough Productions seeks a talented and detail-oriented Video Assist Operator to join our team for multiple upcoming projects in Atlanta, GA, and Los Angeles, CA. As a pivotal production crew member, the Video Assist Operator will be responsible for operating the VTR (Video Tape Recorder) and ensuring the seamless capture and playback of footage during filming.
Key Responsibilities:
– Operate the VTR to record and playback footage in real-time for review by the director, producers, and crew.
– Collaborate closely with the camera department to ensure accurate setups, including monitoring camera focus, framing, and choreography.
– Maintain and manage video assist equipment, ensuring everything is in excellent condition.
– Provide immediate feedback on the performance and visual elements to support creative decision-making on set.
– Assist in troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise during production.
Qualifications:
– Previous experience as a video assist operator or in a similar film or television production role.
– Proficiency in operating VTR equipment and familiarity with video tap systems.
– Strong understanding of cinematography, camera operation, and production processes.
– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
– A keen eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling.
