Job Description: Special Effects Coordinator

The Special Effects Coordinator is responsible for designing and supervising various effects required for film productions using mechanical and optical illusion techniques. This role involves creating visual elements such as weather effects and managing props that shatter, burn, smoke, or explode. The coordinator also provides specialized mechanical rigging for stunts, including flying actors.
Qualifications:
– Certification as a Pyro Technician or equivalent experience in special effects.
– Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to explosives and firearms.
– Previous experience in film or television production preferred.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
