Job Description:
Never Enough Productions seeks a talented and experienced Gaffer (Chief Lighting Technician) to join our team at our Featured Film and TV Show Studios in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive lighting plan that aligns with the creative vision of the Director of Photography. This includes collaborating closely with the lighting team to ensure optimal lighting placement and execution that enhances the visual storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the Director of Photography to create effective lighting strategies for various scenes.
– Develop and communicate detailed lighting plans and key grips to the best boy, directing the placement and usage of lights to achieve desired effects.
– Manage and supervise the lighting crew, ensuring all equipment is set up and operated safely and efficiently.
– Adjust lighting as needed during shooting to accommodate changes in scene dynamics and camera framing.
– Maintain and troubleshoot lighting equipment throughout the production process.
– Stay updated on industry trends and new lighting techniques to improve production quality continually.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Gaffer in film and television production.
– Strong understanding of lighting techniques and equipment.
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
– Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
– Experience with various lighting systems and technologies.
