Overview:
Never Enough Productions seeks a skilled and dedicated Best Boy to join our Feature Film and TV Show Studios in Atlanta, GA. The Best Boy will assist the Gaffer or the Key Grip on set, ensuring all equipment setups and breakdowns run smoothly. This role is essential for successfully executing our imaginative projects, where creativity and teamwork are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assist the Gaffer or Key Grip in managing lighting and rigging operations on set.
– Responsible for the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of all necessary equipment.
– Work closely with the production team to ensure that all lighting and rigging needs are met efficiently and effectively.
– Organize and manage equipment, keep an inventory, and ensure everything is in working order.
– Collaborate with the crew to achieve the desired artistic vision while adhering to safety protocols.
– Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide solutions as they arise during production.
– Maintain clear communication with fellow crew members, including the Gaffer, Key Grip, and other department heads.
Qualifications:
– Previous experience as a Best Boy or in a similar role on film and television sets is preferred.
– Strong understanding of lighting and rigging equipment and techniques.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– A positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate with a diverse team.
